Patient #1 is a 61-year-old female admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain. A laproscopic cholecystectomy was subsequently performed due to cholecystitis. Patient #1 was hospitalized for twelve days.
Review of the patient record reveals that patient #1 received education for vaccines received while in the hospital, her specific disease process, fall prevention, assessment scale, pain management goals, signs and symptoms of infection, and incentive spirometry. However, no medication education is in patient #1's record. The hospital failed to offer patient #1 medication education
