This portion applies to Building A1, known as the Main Hospital.

It was determined through observation during the survey that the facility failed to install the Fire Alarm System in accordance with the Life Safety Code and NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code. This was evidenced by:

The MRI Trailer located on the exterior of the main building did not have visual and audible annunciation provided. The trailer was not equipped with required detection or pull station, and was not connected to the fire alarm system at the main building.

This deficiency has the potential to effect all patients and staff in the trailer, and delay notification of fire emergency to the hospital.

The Fire Alarm System deficiency item was discussed during the survey and again during the exit conference.

The pendant sprinkler head located by the dishwashing machine exceeds maximum spacing from the north wall, and was obstructed by the machine itself.

This deficiency has the potential to effect all staff in the fire compartment in the event of a fire emergency.
