Based on our observation during the survey, they facility failed to meet this tag as evident by:

The temperature logs for the patient medication and nourishment refrigerators serving the surgery recovery area were noted with a completed data entry for the month of June 2011. Also there was a note on the sheet for the nurses to check temperature every Monday. Both recording in advance the temperature log and the stated note on the log are in direct violation of the facility's own policy and procedure. The facility's own policy and procedure states that the temperature shall be recorded daily and physical reading shall be maid. The facility's policy and procedure shall be followed to insure proper patient care. Also, not maintaining proper temperature reading could lead to spoiled food and/or medication with possible impact to patients or patient care.
