Based on observations and interviews the facility failed to maintain and repair the nurse call system on the third floor. The facility has to ensure that all equipment and systems are maintained and functioning as designed. The Findings Include: Observations, interview and record review with the Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President of Support Services and the Chief Executive Officer on October 2, 2019 during the hours of 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM revealed that multiple components and areas of the nurse call system on the third floor, have not been working properly for an extended period of time and the parts required to fix the system properly are not available and obsolete. The facility has an ongoing project approved by the local jurisdiction and The Agency for Healthcare Administration Office of Plans and Construction. The project has started on the third floor north but is not in compliance and is not in full functioning order. The third floor south has not been started yet. |
