PATIENT RIGHTS: NOTICE OF RIGHTS

Based on observation and interview, the facility failed to uphold their policy related to handwashing to ensure patients (ID #3 #6) receive care in a safe setting.
The findings include:
Record review of the facility's "Hand Hygiene Policy" dated 12/12/2023.
B. Hands must be disinfected by using soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizers if hands are not visibly soiled: Before and after entering a patient's room
Observation on 07/26/2024 at 1130,the facility failed to enforce the hand hygiene policy with multiple staff (ID #55, 56, 57, 58) were not sanitizing their hands when going to multiple rooms to care for patients (ID# 3, 6).
Interview on 07/26/2024 at 1145 with staff (ID #54), who stated we have really worked on this issue.
