Based on record review and interview the facility management failed to ensure six staff (ID #55, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61) did not complete annual infection control training as required per facility policy. Further review revealed that two of the six staff were prn staff (ID #57, 60) had worked at the facility within the last 60 days.
Record review of the facility policy "Education Plan" dated 11-30-2022, stated annual refresher topics (Infection Control) are intended for all staff, if otherwise stated.
Record review of the facilities training records revealed staff (ID#55, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61) did not completed annual infection control training as required by hospital policy.
Interview on 11/02/2023 at 1130 with the facility educator (staff ID#54) who stated infection control training is mandatory every year.
Interveiw om 11/02/2023 at 1053 with the facility educator (ID#54) who vertified staff (ID #55, 57, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61) did not complete annual training, and also stated reminders were also sent out via email to staff to complete training.
