Based on review of documentation, it was determined that Patient #1 did not receive care in a timely manner during her ED visit on June 17, 2022.
Findings were:
Patient # 1 was seen in the ED of Chi St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital during the early morning hours of June 17, 2022 with a myocardial infarction. The cardiologist on call was not able to be reached. The patient was transferred to Chi St. Joseph's sister hospital in College Station in order to be treated by a cardiologist.
The above scenario was confirmed via nursing and MD documentation on June 17, 2022.
