Based on visual observation the facility failed to maintain the separation of hazardous areas from other parts of the building, including the egress corridor. Hazardous areas are required to be constructed to resist the passage of smoke. The deficient practice had the potential to affect 16 of 16 residents.
Findings:
During the facility tour on April 30 , 2013 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. the following rooms were observed being used for storage with no automatic closing device on the doors: transitional living unit room, pool door at business office, and speech therapy storage room.
