Facility failed to provide fire extinguishers in accordance with the 2000 edition of the Life Safety Code, NFPA 101. Findings included the following:
Surveyor observed betweeen 1:00 and 1:30 pm on 10/01/14 that Class K fire extinguisher in kitchen was located greater than 30 feet from cooking hazard, fryer, in servery area. This does not meet NFPA 10: 5.7.2. Maximum travel distance shall not exceed 30 ft from the hazard to the extinguishers.
