Based on observations during facility tour between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 03-09-10 through 03-11-10, review of facility inspection records, and staff interview, it was determined that the facility failed to ensure that the hospital was constructed, arranged, and maintained to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Findings were:
1. Cross-refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K018 as it relates to failure to maintain the facility's interior corridors to resist the passage of smoke.
2. Cross refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K029 as it relates to failure provide self-closing doors thus breaking the fire separation barrier
3. Cross refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K031 as it relates to failure to maintain the facility's flammable and combustible liquids in the laboratory accordinig to NFPA 30.
4. Cross refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K051 as it relates to failure to maintain the facility's automtic detection system in accordance with NFPA 72.
5. Cross refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K056 as it relates to failure to maintain the facility's automatic sprinkler system in accordance with NFPA 13.
6. Cross refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K069 as it relates to failure to maintain its kitchen hood in accordance with NFPA 96.
7. Cross refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K106 as it relates to failure to maintain its automatic generator in accordance NFPA 99.
8. Cross refer to Life Safety Code deficiency K140 as it relates to failure to maintain the facility's medical gas alarm panel in accordance with NFPA 99.
