The hospital failed to be constructed, arranged, and maintained to ensure the safety of the patient. Refer to A 709, Life Safety from Fire.

The hospital failed to comply with the provision of the 2000 (existing) Edition of the Life Safe Code of The National Fire Protection Association for the following reasons:
1. The facility failed to provide the required two (2) hour fire resistance rating for separation walls between non-conforming structures. Refer to K 011.
2. The facility failed to provide the required fire rated construction and/or a sprinkler system for structural elements. Refer to K012.
3. The facility failed to provide the required 1/2 hour fire resistance rating for corridor walls in a non-sprinkled facility. Refer to K017
4. The facility failed to provide the required 1/2 hour fire resistance rating for smoke barrier walls. Refer to K025.
5. The facility failed to provide the required one (1) hour fire resistance rating for hazardous areas in a non-sprinkled building. Refer to K029
6. The facility failed to provide the required two (2) master alarm panels for there bulk oxygen system. Refer to K140.
