Bringing transparency to federal inspections
Tag No.: K0345
Based on visual observation the facility failed to assure that the fire alarm system was inspected and tested in accordance with the approved maintenance and testing program in NFPA 72. The fire alarm system gives a sense of security to offer an advance warning in fire and/or smoke emergency.
Findings:
During the facility tour February 6, 2025 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the elevator recall fire alarm system had a trouble alarm and lacked a annual certification from a license ed fire alarm company.
The interview with Maintenance Supervisor revealed the facility was not aware that the required annual fire alarm inspection had not been conducted on the fire alarm system nor was the Maintenance Supervisor aware the fire alarm was indicating a battery trouble alarm.
